About

Turkish-Russian economic relations began to gain momentum from the 1990s, showing significant growth, especially in construction, tourism, energy, and agricultural exports. In the 1990s, when Russia took radical steps towards transitioning to a market economy, Turkish companies, thanks to their dynamism and initiative, outpaced many other countries by implementing significant projects, especially in the construction sector. The idea of uniting the constantly growing number and activity of Turkish entrepreneurs across Russia under the aegis of a business association also originated during this period. In 1997, the Russian-Turkish Business Association (RTBA) was founded in Moscow. For more than 20 years since its establishment, RTBA has aimed to strengthen unity and solidarity among Turkish entrepreneurs and businessmen in Russia and the Turkish community living there, seek solutions to problems, and promote our country within Russian society and government bodies.
