TurkLists.com — Accessibility Notice
TurkLists.com is a classified listing platform where users can find listings, discover products and services, and buy or sell.
Our goal is to keep the platform accessible and usable for the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities.
This page explains our accessibility approach, key principles, and how to contact us for support or feedback.
1. Our Commitment
At TurkLists.com, accessibility is part of our product development lifecycle. We aim to continuously improve core user journeys.
Our focus includes listing search, filtering, listing detail pages, listing creation, account management, messaging, and paid services.
We use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our primary technical reference.
We also consider the legal and policy direction in Türkiye, including Law No. 5378 and the 2025 Presidential Circular on web and mobile accessibility.
2. Core Accessibility Principles We Apply
2.1 Structure and navigation
We aim to use semantic HTML, clear heading hierarchy, and meaningful content regions.
Keyboard-only navigation, logical focus order, visible focus, and skip links are key priorities.
2.2 Forms and user input
Across listing, login, registration, profile, filtering, and messaging flows, we aim for clear labels, instructions, and field-level error feedback.
For long tasks, we work to reduce the risk of losing user input.
2.3 Color, text, and visual content
We aim for sufficient text contrast and avoid conveying meaning through color alone.
Informative images should include alt text, and icons/badges should have accessible naming.
2.4 Motion, media, and changing content
We aim to limit autoplay media, prioritize user control, and provide captions when possible.
Where “reduced motion” is preferred, we try to reduce animation intensity.
2.5 Search, filtering, and complex components
We aim for keyboard usability and assistive-tech clarity in search, filters, cards, tabs, dialogs, and date pickers.
For map-based areas, we try to provide list alternatives where possible.
2.6 Documents and downloadable content
For PDFs and similar downloads, we aim for accessible structure, reading order, and heading usage.
Alternative formats may be considered on request.
2.7 Third-party content
When choosing analytics, embedded media, ads, maps, or similar tools, we consider accessibility.
Because third-party behavior may not always be fully controllable, we try to provide alternatives when possible.
3. Features That Support Ease of Use
To strengthen accessibility on TurkLists.com, we aim to support the following:
These capabilities may not be at the same maturity level on every page; accessibility improvement is an ongoing process.
- high-contrast friendly design choices
- readable typography on desktop and mobile
- clear heading structure and short paragraphs
- screen-reader-supporting language and structural labels
- feedback that is not visual-only
- keyboard access in core flows
4. Conformance and Testing Approach
We treat accessibility as a testing and maintenance topic, not only a design preference. Where possible, we:
WCAG 2.2 is one of today’s key international references for web accessibility and is published by W3C.
- use accessibility checklists during design
- use automated scanning and validation tools
- run keyboard navigation tests
- verify zoom and reflow behavior
- review critical user journeys periodically
5. Known Limitations
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and some areas may still have gaps, such as:
If you experience an issue that blocks access, please contact us and we will try to provide a reasonable alternative path.
- similar link labels in some card structures
- assistive-technology naming improvements needed in some filters/popups
- older documents or user uploads that may not be fully accessible
6. User-Generated Content
Listings, comments, images, and other content may be user-generated, so full accessibility of all user content cannot always be guaranteed.
We still encourage clear listing titles, descriptive image text, and content that does not rely only on text embedded in visuals.
7. Support Requests and Alternative Formats
If you encounter an accessibility issue or need content in another format, please contact us.
Email: [email protected]
If possible, include:
We aim to respond within a reasonable time and provide a solution or temporary workaround when possible.
- the relevant page URL
- the issue you experienced
- your device, browser, and operating system
- any assistive technology used
- the alternative format or support type you need
