Türkiye İş Bankası AŞ, abbreviated as İş Bankası, is the largest private bank in Turkey, providing services to private and commercial clients. Founded in 1924 by the order of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, İş Bankası is the first national bank of the republican period. In 2023, the bank, with assets reaching 2.5 trillion Turkish lira, ranked 181st in the list of the world's largest banks by core capital, published by The Banker magazine. As of December 2021, İş Bankası has 1195 branches, 6476 ATMs, and more than 22 thousand employees, 21 of whom are abroad. Additionally, the bank has three subsidiaries: İşbank AG in Germany, İşbank Georgia AŞ in Georgia, and İşbank AŞ in Russia.
